Ruth: Claire... wake up! We're leaving, pack up!
Claire:Oh, my God, Mom, I feel like Anne Frank!
Ruth: If you don't hurry, we'll have to go spinning!
Claire: Oh, my God!

Jarhead is out on DVD tomorrow!! My ass will most definitely be in line at Target tomorrow with a 2-disc collector's edition in my hand. I love unwrapping a fresh DVD...
Speaking of movies: Did anybody else witness the upset at the Oscars last night? Wow...didn't see Crash winning best picture! Congrats to them, I guess...but I feel like this is the second year in a row where the winner is clearly not the best picture of the year. Brokeback Mountain went in with every award imaginable, so it was a sure bet, right? Apparently not. In my opinion, Brokeback Mountain was technically, artistically, and story-wise the best film nominated. Next on my list would be Good Night and Good Luck. Crash was a good movie, but forgettable. I feel like it's one of those movies that if you voice any negativity towards, people will practically try and kill you. Don't mean to hate, but Crash was a melodramatic, contrived, coincidental, and flavored movie that ended up being way too preachy for my taste. In the end, I think Brokeback will come out the winner because it's a movie that people will remember...and should.
Download Fiona Apple "O'Sailor"....she's the shit!! She recently opened up for Coldplay and impressed the hell out of me. What a great opening act! The concert itself was unreal as usual. I've never seen so many white people in one vicinity! Will Champion (the drummer) looked straight at me and waved, bitch! Suck it! I didn't end up bringing in my digital camera from fear that it may be taken away from me at the doors...but alas, I get inside and everyone and their mother has a camera! Ugh!
Brittany came into town last weekend, and we had an amazing time together. We did so much shit in two days, it felt like she was here for an entire week. Kevin's 25th birthday party, the concert, shopping, eating, hanging out, driving...it was definitely good times. I wish Mary could've come too! :(
Enjoy this shitload of pictures from the past few weekends...
