I saw a trailer for it on www.mydatewithdrew.com a few months ago, and was a little let down when I discovered that it wouldn't be playing in any San Antonio. So I eventually got over myself, and the thought of it was long gone.
Until tonight when I made my weekly trip to Blockbuster and the wall full of red DVD covers caught my eye! Lo and behold it was a fantastic movie experience...
Shit! I haven't even said what it was about! Basically this dude won $1,100 on a game show and decided to take advantage of Circuit City's 30 day return policy on video cameras to shoot a documentary about trying to get his dream date with long-time crush Drew Barrymore...
I won't say too much about the movie itself other than it's fucking hysterical, and very uplifting. I was honestly (at 12:30am on Saturday night) jumping up and down and cheering for this dude in the middle of my tiny bedroom...and I don't do that too often...I think.
So go now and rent it! You will not regret it!
