Skeletons

Ernesto Guevara de la Serna: What do we leave behind when we cross each frontier? Each moment seems split in two; melancholy for what was left behind and the excitement of entering a new land.

- The Motorcycle Diaries

I woke up at 2am this morning thinking that it was time to go to class. I was in the middle of brushing my teeth when I realized that no light was emenating from behind my closed blinds. I woke up again at 3:30am, 5am, and then 8:15am...which was fifteen minutes after my first class today. Sometime in the middle of the night I must have turned off my alarm. I'm such an idiot. I think it's because I'm sick. I was talking to my mom on the phone the other day and was telling her that I haven' t been sick since high school, and suddenly the next day I wake up sick. Now I know why people knock on wood.

Since I missed my first class and my next one isn't until noon, I've been spending all morning blogging, watching "True Life: I have OCD", and coughing up a storm. I think I may have found a cure for my sore throat...Mike and Ikes and ice water. I can't eat these all day so it looks like I'll end up in a doctor's office. Fuck.

I would just like to brag for a second and let you all know that I made my first 100 on a college exam. It was a bitch of an exam too. Highest grade in the class, suckers. I rule.

This past week, I've been obsessed with listening to Sufjan Stevens. If you haven't heard of him, check him out. Any artist that plans on making an album for each of the 50 states is a hero of mine. He makes for great driving music. Listen to these songs:
"The Predatory Wasp of the Mali"
"The Man of Metropolis Steals Our Hearts"
"Concerning the UFO Sighting Near Highland, Illinois"
"To Be Alone With You"
"The Dress Looks Nice On You"

I'm off to go pack for the weekend. The parents are in town visiting Laura and Kevin and I guess I'll stay the weekend at their place as well. Mom's gonna give me shit for not going to a doctor. Ugh. Enjoy the few pictures I have:

Fuck you.

Water Tower from my car in McKinney, Texas. They have the best sunsets.

My interpretation of the many self-indulgent Myspace default pictures taken by millions of pre-teens in America. And yes, that's a Dummy movie poster in my bathroom. Great movie.

Moon. This is really amateurish, but suck it.

My profile doesn't really look like that, does it?
