ATX

[Eating fruit in bed with Claire]
Ted: I know you don't like kiwi, but really...I think you need to give it a second chance. [Claire gives him a look] What? Is that pushy?
Claire: It's just um...I'm eating fruit salad in bed with a naked frat boy who voted for George Bush. Are we listening to what sounds suspiciously like chrisitian music?
Ted: It is christian music. What? I just hear songs on the radio and if I like them I buy the CD.
Claire: Oh my god, you might be the most deeply un-hip person I've ever met.
Ted: Seeing how being hip is primarily an adolescent concern, I'll take that as a compliment.
Claire: You know if you really are a christian, I should probably tell you I had an abortion.
Ted: That's okay. I sorta paid for one once. Well, I didn't really pay for it. I still need to send her the check.

-Six Feet Under

Yet another SFU quote to start the post. It's on in nine minutes and I already have a hard on. Kidding.

I'm currently nursing a sun burn, a sore body, and a scratchy throat. As unfortunate as that might sound, I really can't complain. My injuries only serve as a reminder of how much fucking fun I had this weekend in Austin. Shout out to Allie and Emily for showing me what a good time really is. I think I had begun to develop the idea that fun = sitting in your room alone and watching reality tv. Wow. That wasn't upsetting at all.

I'll explain everything we did in a minute, but I should let my readers know the terrible, terrible, news. I dropped my beloved camera and it doesn't work anymore! You can scream. I did. I was only able to take pictures the first night in Austin and I can't even load them right now because of the amount of "fucked up" my camera is. I am working on getting this fixed. God, now my only readers actually have to read my shit instead of scroll straight to the pictures. Suckers.

I arrived in Austin around 5:30pm on Friday and immediately noticed a bum lying on the side of the street ferociously scratching his neck and talking to himself reminding me, yet again, why ATX is the greatest city on earth. The fun pretty much started instantly when I met up with Allie and Emily. We did everything this weekend: dinners, parties, talking, laughing, "haaagh-ing", drinking, sleeping, high-fiving, movie watching, and more laughing. Here are some highlights:

- Meeting all of the girls' friends
- Seeing old high school friends at parties.
- Dinner at Chuy's and getting into engrossing and exciting conversations about old episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark?
- Checking every 5 minutes to make sure my car hadn't been towed.
- Getting attacked by a blood thirsty spider in Allie's car...and screaming like a woman
- Meeting Evan (Emily's boyfriend) and talking with a fake New Zealand accent for the two hours we hung out...only to find out he knew I was American the entire time.
- Getting drunk and stupid
- Getting uninvited to a party because people can't let go of their trivial, immature, high school drama bullshit. (My favorite)
- Two words...Hoa Hoa
- Touring campus with Allie
- Naming the turtles in a pond "cunt" and "tranny"
- Dodgeball tournament at Dobie...San Antonio VS. The rest...and screaming "REMEMBER THE ALAMO" while hurling our balls at lightning speed. And then losing.
- Watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? on youtube.com
- Seeing Emily cry after she dropped Andrew's phone.
- Singing to Backstreet Boys at a party
- Talking shit with Ashley Meek
- Getting a sore throat from "haaagh-ing" too much
- Walking back to Dobie in the rain
- Seeing about 7 friends from elementary school at a party. And then getting drunk and approaching a few of them.
- Talking about how much Scary Movie 4 sucked, and wondering why we spent $8.50 on it
- Player's burgers
- Falling in the parking lot
- Spending time with some of the most fucking amazing people on earth

I've got to make more trips to Austin. It was way too much fun not to do again. Again, I'm beyond sorry about the lack of pictures. I'm terribly upset...but this too shall pass. VIVA AUSTIN! Laters for now.

Ok, I stopped reading as soon as you said your camera was broken and until it's fixed, I'm un-bookmarking your blog.

Kidding.

I think I need to jump on the SFU bandwagon. That was hilarious! And I can't get my boyfriend to shut about the show. Now if only I had cable in the apartment, let alone HBO...damn!
