Stewie Griffin: Careful! You're washing a baby's scalp, not scrubbing the vomit out of a Christmas dress, you stupid holiday drunk.
Meg Griffin: Guess what I am.
Stewie Griffin: Hmm, let me see. The end result of a drunken backseat gropefest and a damaged prophylactic?
[Peter saw Lois in a coffee shop talking with her old college boyfriend]
Peter Griffin: I saw you in that coffee shop, breaking the fifth commandment. Congress passes these things for a reason, Lois.
[riding a circus elephant]
Peter Griffin: Look Lois, the two symbols of the Republican Party: an elephant, and a big fat white guy who is threatened by change.

So sorry for not posting recently. It's going to feel nice to finally be rid of having the obligation to post those damn cruise pics. (Last post for those, I swear) I guess I've been too busy lately checking facebook obsessively. I had to create my new UNT account, and add all of my 100-something friends...that sucked. I admire people like Katherine Stump who can post every day and make it worth reading each time. I guess I have things to say, but I feel somewhat censored and don't think I can express them as well as I should...so I don't.
Moving on...everyone should listen to "Naked As We Came" by Iron and Wine. Fantastic song I discovered while watching In Good Company. I'm currently playing it on my brand new mini-iPod! It was my belated birthday gift this year and I am in love. It will be my best friend at UNT.
Turns out I may not get a roomate. Yes that means I will be living in a two bedroom apartment by myself. How cool? We called the complex and they said they already sent out names for roomies and since I never got one, I may not get one...WOO! We'll see how it turns out in the future.
Do you ever feel like you know more about life than people who have been around longer and claim to hold more experience? I have a good friend who has recently taken a huge (and to some, controversial) step in their life and I was criticized for supporting them by my mother. We had a brief conversation about it at lunch one day and it turned ugly quickly. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who can see how twisted some people's logic is. People are entitled to their own opinions (thank god) but I felt like she crossed a line making misconceptions about somebody she barely knows. I feel so underminded by my parents sometimes, but I love them so much that it creates an unsettling imbalance of emotions whenever we get into arguments. Is it just me?
Work has been pretty good recently, which is a positive change from the past. I've learned to tolerate some pretty stupid people. It's amazing how utterly unreasonable and asshole-y people can be sometimes and I mean that in all seroiusness. I guess you never find out until you have a job that deals with the public.
I'd like to dedicate this next portion of my blog to all the ridiculous customers I've had during my year working at HEB.
ATTENTION HEB SHOPPERS:
No, we do not sell doggie diapers and it frightens me to think that you would want to buy such a product!
No, I don't want to hear about your hip replacement surgey and your overreactive bladder while I carry out your groceries...it's disturbing and you smell funny already.
For christ's sake, please don't use the cell phone device that you put in your ear while at my register and talk on it. I can't tell if you're asking me or your boyfriend to "get off your lazy ass and pay the fucking bill."
Stop asking me what high school I go to.
And finally: I swear to god if you walk in the store two minutes before we close, I will announce on the intercom that there is a rabid dog loose and roaming the store so you'll leave.

Sorry for the ranting tonight...a lot on my mind. Here are the rest of the cruise pictures. I also added in some miscellaneous photos from recent endeavors. Enjoy!
Some of the most beautiful shots I got from the ship.

After returning from the cruise, we spent one evening in South Beach, Miami. It was raining on the way but it cleared up by the time we arrived.

Laura and Kevin at News Cafe. Great restaurant!

Walking around the city...

Would've been a lot prettier if that damn lightpole wasn't in the way. But it is a nice photo of sunset in South Beach...

Last day of vacation! We were contemplating how to fit all of our luggage in my aunt and uncles' car.

Miami Beach from the plane!

Kimberly was sad when we returned! Back to reality....

RANDOM PHOTOS AHEAD!
Two of my favorite things: Mary and Chili's!

Party at Bryan G.'s. Haven't seen him in a while and Ashley showed up! We were playing in his awesome elevator...yes he has a fucking elevator.

B-day gift from the girls...ORIGINAL SIGNED COLDPLAY POSTER!!!! You know this will be hanging above my bed in my apartment.

Another shot of the sky. I love photographing the sky if you can't tell by now.

Six Flags! On our way up The Rattler!

Mary's cool nose ring...

Oooooh!

Our picture we purchased from the Scooby Doo ride. Sorry for the fuzziness; I took a picture of a picture.

Fireworks show...

Crazy Bitch...yes she had something on underneath....I think.

The gang at Chili's...yum

Phew! That was a longer post than usual. I hope you enjoyed and I will be posting soon...I'm going camping this weekend and promise wonderful pictures and stories! Laters for now!

Thank you. And that imbalance of love and frustration with parents is part of the stormy sea that's tossing me like a ship so I get it. It must be this time of life when we start doing things outside of the box. They want to hold us back, tell us they know better, but man do we need to spread our wings...
