I Just Walked Through a Blanket of B.O.

Journalist: Who can defeat the Americans? They are so strong.

Hassan Ibrahim: The Americans will defeat the Americans. I have ultimate faith in the American Constitution.

-Control Room

Sorry I haven't updated recently. I guess it's just because I'm a lazy ass. Plus I was gone for three days for orientation at UNT. It went alright, I guess. I didn't go to your typical 2-3 day orientation. This one was for transfer students and only lasted about 6 hours including a lunch break. I never like going into situations where I'm not comfortable; this being a perfect example. It's pathetic how self concious I am. I'm not a shy person, but I'm definitely not an outgoing person . I watch people like Mary who can conjure an interesting conversation with a wall and I'm jealous. I'm ridiculously picky in my process of choosing people I associate with making it that much harder for me to talk to people I don't know. God, I need to get a grip and open up before I leave for Denton soon...wish me luck.

Anyways...orientation was pretty quick and smooth. (like sex with your mom) It was sooo much more organized than the orientation at UTSA. (no offense, Alex) I feel a bit more comfortable with the thought of attending UNT now. I think I'll enjoy it.

It's sort of weird to go back and look at the cruise pictures because it seems like last year when I was gone, but in reality it was only a few weeks back. So here are some more photos, bitches.

Picking up where we left off last: After more than a few rum punches on the sailboat, I was a little tipsy. I don't look like a tourist at all in this picture! (bleeding with sarcasm)
Picture 741

Happy Birthday to me! These were outside of our room when I woke up.
Picture 750

Next arrival: St. Maarten. It was a little dreary that day, but I spent most of my time under water.
Picture 748

Most everyone on the ship went shopping on whatever island we stopped at, but we weren't retarded, so we went scuba diving!
Picture 752

Father and son...this is a wonderful family photo. I know , I know, my dad was probably mad that I wasn't smiling..........
Picture 755

Self-contained underwater-breathing apparatus!!!
Picture 759

On the boat before getting our scuba lessons. The instructors were from England, New Zealand, and Trinidad. Interesting mix of accents. Sorry I don't have any pictures from the actual dive. Our bags got thrown in a closet on the boat, and I didnt' have my camera.
Picture 758

Kimberly and I at Sterling's Steakhouse on the ship. My birthday dinner, BIATCH!
Picture 761

Whoever doesn't have a portable DVD player, needs to get one. This was my best friend on the plane and ship when I got bored. Guess what we were watching!
Picture 763

At 'Movies Under the Stars'. Some nights, the ship would let you reserve some seats by the giant movie screen and watch a movie. We saw Meet the Fockers. I had already seen it and hated it, but the experience was cool nonetheless.
Picture 764

Laura and Kevin
Picture 765

Our ship could kick your ass!
Picture 766

Yeah, it was $11 bucks, but it's a fucking monkey coconut drink holder for Christ's sake! I've never see anything cooler...
Picture 767

Kim before we went to the night club. She threw up later on that night...ha
Picture 768

Breakfast, bitch. I probably ate my body weight the entire trip.
Picture 770

Okay, so the day before we are supposed to make our last stop, we get an announcement from the captain saying that somebody was sick/injured and we had to detour to Nassau, Bahamas. We were supposed to go to the Princess cruise-owned island, but we needed to get to a hospital. Apparently some guy fell down the casino staircase and injured his head pretty badly. He hadn't regained conciousness still when they took him off the ship. If I had to die or get hurt really badly, I'd probably want to do it on vacation. Much better than dying at work, or in a traffic jam or something.
Picture 772

The dock
Picture 773

Holy shit! It's the Atlantis resort!
Picture 776

On our way to a public beach. Fruit anybody?
Picture 779

Some bitches in the beaches
Picture 781

We took a taxi to this beach which ended up being college freshman party central. They had a Corona stand set up by us w/ a bunch of screaming frat guys having push up contests. We ended up leaving after an hour or so.
Picture 786

We rented snorkel shit, but the water didn't have anything to look at except beer bottles and sea weed. Gaaay...
Picture 788

We decided to taxi over to the Atlantis hotel/resort for the last few hours we had left in Nassau. YAY! These horses were playing in the water, and then they all grew wings and decided to fly away. It was really weird.
Picture 793

Oooooh, aaaaaah!
Picture 794
Picture 795
Picture 805
Picture 810

The Atlantis has its own aqarium!
Picture 797

Best picture ever! One of the few shots I got without a glare from the flash. Feel free to steal this photo from me and use it as a background, thieves.
Picture 798

There was this freaking huge mantaray with a 6-7 ft wingspan in the water, but I could never get a shot of if poking its fins out of the water...damn.
Picture 804

That's all for now, I can probably fit the rest of the cruise pics in one last post. Laters for now!

I Piss in the Atlantic

Andy: [stops lady from walking, is holding balloons with happy faces on them] Do you know why I hate myself?
Lady: No...
Andy: Neither do I, have a nice day, though. [hands her balloon]

- The Andy Milonakis Show

Um, I was just channel surfing after the longest 4 hours of my life at HEB and ran across that new MTV show called the Andy Milonakis Show. It's this random ass show where a kid films himself doing random ass things. After reading a little about it online, turns out the kid is actually 28 years old and has a disease where he doesn't age normally. But nonetheless, its a funny show. So stupid its funny. I like.

I've really been into music by Queen lately. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

I had a lady get mad at me today at HEB because she wanted cash back w/ her debit card, but pressed 'no cash' while tendering the order and insisited it was my fault. Stupid bitch. She is the reason why I hate people. I was reading a friend's livejournal today who also works at HEB and he made a good point that working at HEB helps me to be tolerant of fucking assholes. Thanks, HEB!

It's late and a Daily Show re-run is on, so I'll post some more pictures from the crusie now...

First dinner toast...
Picture 649

I've never seen so many white people in one place in my life...exceptions for College Station.
Picture 650

Sweet picture of a sunset off my parent's balcony...and no, it's not a postcard, bitch.
Picture 651

Crooner's Martini Bar on the ship
Picture 654

Laura wearing a "My husband is a hottie" shirt, me currently getting sunburnt, and Kimberly getting bronze tan. Why do I get the shitty genes?
Picture 656

Can't really tell, but I'm badly sunburnt. You'd think after 19 years of that, I'd learn to put some sunscreen on....oops.
Picture 663

Formal night...same exact shit we did every day for dinner, except we dressed up. Haaaated it.
Picture 667

Laura posing as the Princess logo
Picture 668

Up the escalator to Skywalkers night club. Good times...
Picture 669

Dessert...
Picture 670

Pretending to puke off the side of the ship. We are SO original.
Picture 672

On the deck at night
Picture 675

First stop: St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands!
Picture 679

Our luxurious taxi...and we paid over $120 there and back. RIP OFF! (well, gas was $2.77 there)
Picture 687

On our way to the marina...beautiful place
Picture 683

Okay, long story short. My mom read about private day-sails for six you could sign up for online. After picking out of a few, we chose to sail around and snorkel w/ Captain Max (Maxine). Thank goodness, b/c I've done anything this different and cool in my life. This is the marina:
Picture 688

The sail boat!

St. Thomas!!!

Picture 701
Picture 719

After sailing w/ Captain Max for a couple of hours, we stopped at a cove to snorkel. I was a snorkel virgin so I was fucking excited!
Picture 709

Okay...it's really hard to look good w/a snorkel mask on, so I apologize if I scare you. Also, I had to snorkel in a shirt due to the fact that my entire body was still burnt from the day before.
Picture 713

The fam...I haven't seen my mother in water in forever. She raised three swimmers but doesn't know how to swim herself, so that's why she has a noodle. (I smell a CHRISTMAS CARD)
Picture 715

The day-sail also included an open bar, and a delicious lunch...mmm
Picture 720

Lunch w/ the fam
Picture 721

Second stop...snorkeled again
Picture 731

See that beach over there? And remember that picture floating around the entertainment magazines of Kenny Chesney and Renee Zellwegger getting married on a beach? That's the one, bitch. Too bad we weren't snorkeling there a few months earlier or I could've made some good money on pictures of that wedding...damn
Picture 733

Captain Max (pink) and her first mate Britney! (sexy)
Picture 735

Ugh, I've been copying and pasting for a long time now...bed time! Laters for now!
