Entertainment Daily

"I started to appreciate the life of wine, that it's a living thing, that it connects you more to life. I like to think about what was going on the year the grapes were growing. I like the think about how the sun was shining that summer and what the weather was like. I think about all those people who tended and picked the grapes. And if it's an old wine, how many of them must be dead by now. I love how wine continues to evolve, how every time I open a bottle the wine will taste different than if I had uncorked it on any other day, or at any other moment. A bottle of wine is actually alive. It's constantly evolving and gaining complexity. That is, until it peaks and begins its steady, inevitable decline...and it tastes so fucking good."

I've decided recently that I'm going to begin every future blog with a movie quote. I thought for a while that I'd title my blogs after movie titles, but I like the quote idea better. That way my blogs tie in with the whole moviefreak thing...the one above is possibly one of my favorite lines from a movie...ever.

By the way, Academy Award Nominees are announced tomorrow around 8-8:30 in the am. I can't wait!

Speaking of awards, I forgot to mention how excited I was to see Natalie Portman and Clive Owen win Golden Globes for CLOSER. I literally jumped out of my seat, ran around screaming, and wet myself when Natalie won.

Oh Natalie

School is going well right now. I have a strict schedule during the school year that I hardly ever break. I wake up at an exact time, get ready, sing in the car on the way to school, get to class 15 minutes early, and then leave. Every day it's the same, but I feel comforted that way. I have this irrepressible hunch deep in my mind that school and work are going to clash and start an internal conflict in my head. I really gotta keep focused this semester...no time for careless fuck ups.

On a lighter note, I just farted.

I had my first day of Masterpieces in Music class tonight. Not to sound cocky...no wait, I totally mean to sound like a cocky bastard. I should fucking teach that class for Christ's sake. I'm sure my teacher knows a lot about music, but he doesn't teach it in a way to where someone who has never been introduced to theory could understand. Music can be a hell of a lot more intriguing that he makes it. "...and then there is melody, and then there is harmony, and then there is dissonance, bueller, bueller, bueller..." Fucking moron. He also likes to sing a lot, but he can't sing his way through a wet paper bag. It is sort of exciting to know that I have my foot in the door above all the other students. Yes, I'm arrogant...go fuck yourself.

Recently, my Endochine CD has been replaced with a burned CD with some soundtrack music on it. I love listening to good soundtrack music. Not Clint Eastwood's bullshit from Mystic River. SO overrated. Anyway, you guys should SERIOUSLY check out the Door in the Floor soundtrack. Here is a website where you can play samples from the songs...I reccomend Pawn, Kuleshov Effect, Marion Leaving, and Reprise.

Here is a random photo I left out of the other day's blog. Yes, I baked them myself. Yes, I burned them myself. Real men cook cupcakes, bitch...
