My life is a sitcom...

I'm back from Dallas, finally, and had an ass-load of fun! Everything suspiciously went extremely smoothly with the wedding and all. That doesn't necessarily mean nothing funny happened though. Here's an extremely over-detailed, and exaggerated play-by-play of the entire weekend:

The car ride up was a lot of fun. Sarah, Kim, and I rode in the explorer w/ my mom and watched movies the entire way. I think my mom's favorite part of the trip was when we watched Season One of the Osbournes DVD and she got to hear the F-word shouted every three seconds.

Kim and Sarah were great company at the hotel. We stayed at the Crown Plaza where the reception was also held. It was a pretty nice hotel and all, but its old, and smelled like a moldy attic. Come to find out my parent's and our rooms air conditioners were both caked over with mold. Wouldn't that be funny if we had an allergic reaction to the mold and died? HAHA! Kim, Sarah, and I took a trip to the mini gift store located in the lobby of the hotel for an emergency purchase of Tampax and Midol. The girls spent most of their time dressing up and going to luncheons and shit. I sat on my ass in the hotel. Although I did run a few errands w/ my dad to pick up tuxes.

The first big wedding event was the rehersal at Highland Park Methodist church. The wedding coordinator associated w/ the church was the biggest bitch you'll ever meet. She must of had those giant union candles shoved up her...well nevermind. Afterwards we all went to dinner at Maggionos which is some fancy shmancy restaurant. I thought we'd just eat and leave, but apparently you're supposed to sit for 3 hours while people toasted w/ a microphone and bawled like babies. They had a 10 minutes slide show to watch of pictures of Laura and Kevin since they were babies which made more people cry.

Anyway, the next day was really fun! After spending the morning hours dealing with my typical 'stressed-out mother of the bride'until 2:15 or so, the limo-bus picked up all of the groomsmen, and ushers. Of course, w/ Kevin's friends, there were many bottles of champagne on the bus to keep us company. When we arrived at the church, we waited in a room for a while, took pictures, and did the whole ceremony thing. I was sweating like a pig at the alter for some reason. Something about standing still for half an hour makes me sweat terribly. My uncle Rodney sang in the beginning and middle of the ceremony and it was really really amazing. When we receded back down the aisle and outside, they had the church bells ringing really loudly. It was pretty cool...

Ah, the reception! The best part of any wedding. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen waited outside the reception room, and were introduced by two's to the song "Beautiful Day" by U-2. We sat for a little while and ate at the head table, but gradually dispersed throughout the room to mingle and dance. I believe everyone in the room took advantage of the open bars. By the end of the night, there were a lot of drunk people dancing, but when you invite 50 sorority girls, and frat brothers to a wedding, they're bound to get a little rowdy.

Anyway, the next day we spent running more post-wedding errands and eventually ended up back at the house in SA around 11pm. Now its back to reality, work, and sitting on my white ass for the next 15 days until school starts. Oh well, laters for now...

Thanks for making me laugh at dinner tonight. As gay as it may sound, it really did make me feel better, so thanks, you rock. =)
