Tyler Durden: [pointing at an emergency instruction manual on a plane] You know why they put oxygen masks on planes? Narrator: So you can breath. Tyler Durden: Oxygen gets you high. In a catastrophic emergency, you're taking giant panicked breaths. Suddenly you become euphoric, docile. You accept your fate. It's all right here. Emergency water landing - 600 miles an hour. Blank faces, calm as Hindu cows. Narrator: That's, um... That's an interesting theory.-Fight ClubTwo weeks and no post? I'm ashamed of myself...I guess if I had an excuse, it'd be that the past couple of weeks were filled with exams and I couldn't put out the minimal physical energy it actually takes to write something. But here I am again with nothing to say....again. Sort of. Hmmm...the weather! That's always a good topic. Only in Texas can it be 10o degrees one day and 55 the next. But hey, I'm not complaining. I'm pretty much an idiot for not bringing back more than one long sleeved shirt since my last visit home, so I pulled off wearing the same clothes two days in a row. Don't hate...you know you've done it before too. I took a trip up to Stone Brior mall yesterday in Frisco to buy a jacket and some new jeans, so hopefully that will hold me over until the winter clothes my mom sent me come in the mail. Damn cold fronts...I've made plans to come home again! My flight leaves the 28th...for those of you who don't remember, the number 28 haunts me. I bet my plane will crash and I'll die. That would make a really cool movie...Anyway, Mary/Brittany/Becca are throwing a Halloween party and you know my ass is gonna be there. Halloween is the shit but I'm still trying to decide on my costume. Should I be the typical zombie like I am every year, Napoleon Dynamite, Conan O'Brien, or a Republican? Comments and suggestions are welcomed. Wow, I'm really at a loss of words. My camera has been acting funky recently, so the picture department sucks for this post. Oh well...I promise a better blog sometime soon. Fuck you, exams week!
Cold front
Picture of Sadie from my trip home...she's probably not going to be around much longer. I hope she holds up until I get home this month! :(
Riley
Mom worries that I'm not eating healthy, so she e-mailed me some easy recipes. I made enchurritos last week and they were muy delicioso.
Product of boredom: (that's my ceiling fan)
Inspired by the movie Adaptation.
I think I look around the room and try to take a picture of the most arbitray things and try and make them look neat.

Official blackmail photo of the week. Laura may love her cat too much...she begged me to delete this b/c it just looked wrong.
My amazing jacket I bought on sale at Fossil...I would live in that store if possible.
That's all for today. I'm off to the shady Wal-Mart to buy a few groceries...laters for now!
We never change, do we? We never learn to leave,So I wanna live in a wooden house,I wanna live life, always be true,I wanna live life, and be good to you,I wanna fly, and never come down,And I live my life, and have friends around."We Never Change"--ColdplayAll of you can suck it! I just had one of the best weekends of my life, and you didn't. Just kidding...no, not really. In all seriousness, this weekend was a much needed breathe of air from classes, Denton, and my dreaded reality that is college. I'll save you the gloating for now, and try to recap in a few paragraphs. I went to dinner Friday night in downtown Dallas with Kevin, Laura, Barbara and Tracy (friends of L&K). We headed over to the Smirnoff Center after that and realized quickly that parking was hell on earth. Thankfully, some nice people in a residential area across the street were offering parking for only $5 so we took advantage. The concert was UNBELIEVABLE! It was such a surreal moment to see a band right in front of your eyes that you admire so much. I managed to smuggle my digital camera in and got some pretty rad photos and video clips. (If you want to see some clips, IM me and I'll be happy to send them) There really aren't any words to describe the experience of seeing them live other than fucking unreal. As a result, I have an enormous man-crush on Chris Martin. Damn you to hell Gwenyth...Oh! Forgot to mention the best part! We were standing on the lawn and I kept noticing that people were turning around and laughing at this girl standing next to me, so I glanced to see what they were looking at and the bitch was topless and covered in writing. I'm sorry, I thought I was at a Coldplay concert...not woodstock ya freak hippie bitch...It was really random, but I made out with her anyway. My flight home left Saturday morning at 10am and I spent the day lounging around the house. Later on that night Bryan and Kelly picked me up and we got some dinner and went to the My Chemical Romance concert. It was a lot of fun, but the people at Sunset Station didn't allow dig. cameras, so I didn't get any photos....bastards. MCR was also really awesome live. Gerard (lead singer) has a lot of energy and made me forget for a while that I was being dry humped by 500 strangers...(I secretly liked it). Is it strange that I have a man-crush on Gerard too? As you can tell, I just rushed the rest of my weekend because it's now midnight and I have to get up early tomorrow to find out how I did on my poli sci exam....fuck me. Here are my pis from the weekend. Be warned: I was not in the front row of Coldplay, so the pictures aren't close ups of Chris Martin. Every person that has seem my pics say "holy shit, you're really far away"...get over it bitch. Enjoy!Sunset before Coldplay!
Barbara, Tracy, and Kevin...ultimate Coldplay fanatics.
In the back of the lawn before the concert. We eventually moved to the front and got a better view/experience.
Greatest band ever...period.

My skin tone matches my shirt...

Andrew Largeman: You know that point in your life when you realize that the house that you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of the sudden even though you have some place where you can put your stuff that idea of home is gone. Sam: I still feel at home in my house. Andrew Largeman: You'll see when you move out it just sort of happens one day one day and it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I mean it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for you kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place.-Garden StateYou may have noticed I've used this quote before, but I felt it was more appropriate due to the fact that I actually live away from home now. Maybe I should watch that movie again...it was a pretty good one. Speaking of good movies, I'm really enjoying my film class this semester. Even though it's a dreadful three hours long, I really don't mind. It's nice to be introduced to all those classics that you always hear about but never bother to see. (ie Citizen Kane) My professor is the shit to top it off, and I'm loving it. I just got off the phone with my mother. She told me to keep an eye on my concert and flight becuase they may get cancelled due to the newest storm. Hurricane Rita is FUCKING BITCH! I haven't been keeping up with the Weather Channel much since I've been to Denton, and apparently Rita is on her way to the Lone Star State. Could she have picked a better weekend for me? I think I'm still in shock of what my mom just told me. I don't think anybody has any idea how excited I was to come home this weekend...and to hear that my plans may be shat on because of some fucking storm is just the icing on the cake! Fuck.I've forgotten everything that I was gonna talk about now, so enjoy my pictures while I go crap myself hoping that my plans don't change. This is the product of boredom. It may look like I don't have any arms, but I was actually pointing at the camera. (fyi, this took forever to make)

New facebook picture...I thought it was funny.
Every MWF I park in front of this creepy ass church to go to class. I swear they must have satanic rituals complete with human sacrifice, voodoo, and other really cool stuff in there. It just looks like one of those haunted houses...am I right?
Ooooooooh!
I guess the next time I post will be after my trip home this weekend. I'll let you guys know in an extremely violent post if it gets cancelled. Laters for now!
Jam: Hey what's up mom? I'm gonna ask you this nicely first. Can i have my drumsticks back? Mrs. Bruce: Your drumsticks are the least of your worries young man. You ran out on God! My son just ran out on God! You are in a world of... Jam: TROUBLE! I've been in trouble for the past 12 hours! HELLO? You know I'm going to be in St. Bernards Boarding School for the next 2 years. I'm gonna be out of your hair until I'm a legal adult! And then all YOU have to do is is light a candle, pray to some stupid little statue for me and all is forgiven and forgotten, right mom? Then you can spend your days in a guilt free pursuit of more constructive activities like telling people how screwed up their lives are. And then you no longer need the patience and understanding required to talk to your own son on some normal plain. And then that way you don't have to think about how tough it was for you when you were growing up and its a good thing too cause if you did, you'd realize what a lousy, goddam shitty-ass parent you are. Mrs. Bruce: Jeremiah what has gotten into you? Jam: I JUST LOST MY VIRGINITY IN A CONFESSIONAL BOOTH! LORD HAVE MERCY! Now for the last time, Mom, give me back my fucking drumsticks... please.-Detroit Rock CityI'm not a very impulsive individual. In fact, I'm the exact opposite: I have to have a plan for everything. One of my greatest attributes (or perhaps flaw) is my punctuality. It's actually sort of sickening how anal I am about time, and getting to places 10 minutes before I should. I recently broke down my wall and scheduled a flight back to San Antonio on a whim. It would make Mary proud... Why? I'm leaving North Texas to go back to UTSA...(jk!) Actually, I was surfing the net and realized that My Chemical Romance is playing at Sunset Station the 24th. This means that I will be seeing Coldplay the 23rd (Friday) and flying to SA town the next morning to see MCR Saturday night! I'm going to be so exhausted by Sunday, but I frankly don't give a fuck because it will be worth every second. Who knew you could find a flight for $40 round trip to SA?
Coldplay is the caca!

So I saw The Exorcism of Emily Rose last night...meh, mediocre at best. Truthfull I was only scared at one part. It just got a little tiresome seeing Emily bust out doing the robot in every scene. This should've been titled "The Exorcism of Emily Rose: Electric Boogaloo" The story was interesting (esp. since they threw in the 'based on a true story') but the end result was a weak and sophomoric attempt at a courtroom thriller. It's been a while since I've been blown away by a film...this one just blew me.I got stuck in the most horrific traffic jam on my way home from Laura/Kevin's house last night. I left around 11pm expecting my typical 30 minute cruise from Plano to Denton...but instead got a 3 hour trip. They had shut down part of I35 for construction causing everyone on the highway to bottleneck to a detour that led to a traffic light. I guess the only good thing is that my iPod didn't run out of battery...otherwise I would've been ripping my hair out and force feeding it to myself in a psychotic rage with bloodshot eyes while laughing uncontrollably. That actually sounds kinda fun!I leave you today with a link to watch the new My Chemical Romance video for "The Ghost of You". Great song, amazing video...please just watch it or I will lock you in a box...or something. Here you go (it's under audio/video):http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/my_chemical_romance/artist.jhtmlIs it weird that I'm attracted to a dead chick?
I couldn't think of a title for this, but I would like to let you know that I just had a really overpowering feeling of Deja Vu.
